Official Mobile Application Policy

Welcome to Speak2Grow ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and process your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and the services associated with it.
1. Introduction
Speak2Grow is a comprehensive, AI-powered English coaching and language practice application. Our primary services include AI roleplays, real-time matching with conversational language partners, dynamic lesson roadmaps, and professional tutor booking management. By using Speak2Grow, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect the minimum amount of personal information necessary to offer, customize, and optimize your language learning and conversational practice experiences:
A. Account Information
When you sign up or authenticate via Google Sign-In or email, we collect:
- Identity Data: Email address, display name, and profile picture/avatar URL.
- Profile Preferences: Native language, target language/accent goals, and learning interests.
- Account Credentials: Secure authentication tokens managed by Supabase Auth.
B. Tutor & Student Profiles
- For Students: Class bookings, scheduled times, tutor session ratings, and feedback reviews.
- For Tutors: Professional credentials, biography/introduction text, areas of expertise (specialties), languages spoken, pricing rates per hour, whatsapp contact number, and verification status.
C. Learning & Progress Analytics
To provide gamified learning feedback and customize your speaking curriculum, we track:
- Skill Scores: Speaking scores, reading scores, and vocabulary scores computed during exercises.
- Activity Logs: Streaks (consecutive days of practice), total practice minutes, lesson completions, and achievements.
- History Logs: Completed practice logs (e.g., chat sessions, daily challenge records).
D. Audio Transmission & Call Signaling
- Peer-to-Peer Calls: Matchmaking calls are established directly between users using WebRTC technology. We do not record, listen to, or store your voice audio on our servers.
- Signaling Logs: Temporary connection signals are used to establish connections via our signaling server, but call contents are entirely private and peer-to-peer.
E. Device Data & Push Notifications
We collect the Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token to deliver real-time push notifications for matched peer requests, booking updates, tutor approvals, and chat notifications.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to deliver high-quality learning services:
Authentication & Security
Authenticating identity, managing active sessions, and preventing unauthorized account access.
Matching Algorithm
Pairing you with appropriate conversational partners on the Find a Partner network based on target languages, goals, and matching history.
Tutor Bookings
Enabling scheduled lesson bookings, displaying tutor calendars, and notifying both parties about confirmations, declines, or schedule changes.
Personalization & AI Coach
Recommending daily vocabulary challenges and adaptive curriculum topics based on your lowest-performing skill scores.
Community Moderation
Maintaining safety via user-to-user blocking/unblocking features, ratings, and reporting mechanisms.
4. Data Sharing & Third-Party
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to run the app:
Supabase
Secured cloud database, user authentication, and profile storage.
Firebase
Analytics and push notification delivery.
Signaling Servers
For peer-to-peer WebRTC connection handshakes.
5. Child Safety Standards & CSAM/CSAE Policy
Speak2Grow enforces a strict, zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
- Age Restriction: Speak2Grow is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Users are encouraged to report any child safety concerns or violations immediately via the in-app reporting button or by contacting safety compliance.
- Strict Enforcement: Any violator of child safety standards will face immediate, permanent account suspension, a lifetime ban, and direct reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant regional law enforcement.

You have complete control over your data.
Access & Corrections
You can update your profile details, specialties, or language preferences directly in settings.
Permanent Account Deletion
If you wish to permanently delete your account and wipe all profile histories, learning progress logs, and active bookings from our databases, you can:
- Click the "Delete Account" button in the App's Settings screen.
- Email us directly at support@speak2grow.com.
Note: Account deletion requests are processed and completed within 48 hours of submission.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
Encryption
SSL/TLS (HTTPS) encryption for all database transmittals.
Access Control
Strict Role-Based Access Control (RLS) policies on our Supabase databases.
API Security
Secured API keys and rate limiting.
Please note that no method of online transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we make maximum efforts to keep your data safe.
